Which type of target engagement is affected by dead space?

Dead space refers to areas on the battlefield or within a target engagement zone where a weapon's fire cannot effectively reach due to obstructions, terrain, or other limiting factors. In this context, static targets are particularly influenced by dead space because they are often fixed in one position and may become shielded by obstacles that prevent effective engagement.

Static targets, by their nature, do not change position, which makes them vulnerable to such limitations. When operatives engage static targets from a specific location, any dead space in between may hinder their ability to deliver accurate and effective fire, as the target may be concealed or protected by the environment.

Mobile targets, on the other hand, can change their positions and may be engaged from multiple angles that could potentially circumvent dead space. Therefore, while dead space impacts all types of targets to some degree, it poses a more pronounced challenge specifically for static targets, which are less adaptable to the limitations presented by terrain and obstacles.
